Hunter

The horse in the picture is one I got last year but how I got her is a truly amazing story. It all started about three years when my purchased two registered white tennessee walking horses ( they're names were Cowgirl and Fancy btw). Oh buddy, I thought that was the coolest thing ever. Me and Pa was going to have matching horses!! Well, I came home from school one day and my white horse was dead. I was crushed! So when I finally got over the loss of my horse, I went to a horse sale and bought me one.
When I got the horse home that I bought at the horse sale I soon realized that I bought an outlaw horse. She was crazy. She had barely any training at all. To put it simple this horse was spoiled, and had a mean streak. I didn't know what to do. If I kept her I took a chance on getting hurt, and if I sold her then someone else may get hurt. But finally a guy that my Pa traded cattle with said " I've got a tall appaloosa gelding, and I'll tell you what, you come to my place and see if you like him, and if you do I'll trade even with you."
So, what did I do. I traded the first chance I got. The new horse "Romeo" was a lot better than that nut of a horse I bought at the sale. But after awhile of having Romeo I realized that he didn't fit my style. He was to tall, and just not really the type of horse that I wanted.
What happend next changed my life. My cousin Jordan just happened to be home from Indiana and he said well my friend has a brown quarter horse mare, and he wants a bigger horse. If your interested he'll trade you. Well I was reluctant to trade once again, but I thought it was worth the chance I mean I wasn't happy with what I had so why not give it a try? I always wanted a quarter horse because of all the stuff you can do with them. I mean barrel racing had always been a passion of mine, so I was really hoping for a broke quarter horse that I could practice barrels on.
I went to go look at the horse that my cousin's friend had and when I saw her.... I LOVED HER!!! She was perfect. She was beautiful, and just the right size for me. She wasn't to tall, and she wasn't to little.
I still have this horse, and about after a month after I got her I asked my Pa what I should name her because I wanted her to have the perfect name.
Pa said " Well who did you trade her with"? I told him " Hunter Best", and Pa replied "Name her Hunter", and I did. The perfect name for the perfect horse. I traded horses three times and after that third time I found the horse that was meant for me. When it comes to buying a horse make sure you get one that you have a connection with. Because if you don't neither you or the horse will be happy
